great post...I shared it with my accountability group for them to help keep me accountable. Any sign of arrogance instead of humility and they should press me hard...this nailed my past behavior...praise God for His grace and second chances!

Great words Mike. I think brokenness is the essence of reality. If I hadn't gone through my junk, i'd still be an arrogant S.O.B. Now, I'm simply more conscious of my need for a loving and faithful Daddy... and keenly aware of the fact that I'm capable of being an S.O.B.

Aren't we all POTSC?
Who is still on Plan A without a single mis-step or failure?
Arrogance is ALWAYS a danger sign.
Humility is the way of Jesus and the way of those who would follow.

@thanks jason. i love it too.

@drew right on. maintaing that spirit of humility becomes even more challenging as success comes. btw, i would totally say this applies for any leader wanting to avoid a fall.

@michael totally agree. so true. on that point, (this is probably another subject i will probably talk about later) but any leader where their goal is to simply get back to the same position they were in before is uninspiring to me and brokeness and pain that has been wasted. love your thots!
