When Conan O’Brein woke up the first morning after being fired from the Tonight Show, CoCo decided to grow a beard.

After shaving every single day because of the show, he now had the chance to do something he had never been able to do before.

It was a small act but it was the right step. It signaled the beginning of his “reinvention” and he focused on the opportunity.

Failure is kind of sneaky like that. It brings great pain but also a chance to try something new.

How about today we reflect on what we gained in the valley verses what we lost.

And if you’re at rock bottom right now, take a moment and “find your beard.”

Even if it is a small thing, be thankful for it.

I do that occasionally. Find my beard.
When I know tough times are ahead, I grow my goatee. It helps focus me, and reminds me.

nice post definitely a neat idea to commemorate a fresh start with something.

Of course…I've had more than a few fresh start diets that were commemorated with one final greasy meal.
