DONT SUCK. JUST SUCK UP OIL.

Yesterday in Washington Tony Hayward testified in front of congress on the BP oil disaster.

It was 7 hours of pompous politicians pointing fingers and a CEO who had no answers.

Congressmen huffed and puffed on their high horses and Hayward answered like the most incompetent CEO on the planet.

The whole event was the perfect picture of how we need to reinvent our ideas on grace and the massive inefficiencies of judgment.

And here’s a wild idea!!!! Maybe next time the boys in Washington and Tony Hayward could spend the day sucking up some oil instead of sucking up to the cameras.

It would be a lot more productive, redemptive, and grace efficient.

Catalyst One Day is coming up in August and today is the last day for the BEST rates on the tix. It is in Seattle on Thursday, August 26, 2010.

So what is Catalyst One Day? It’s an all day leadership conference featuring Andy Stanley and Craig Groeschel. It is very practical in content and the theme of the day is Momentum. Andy and Craig both speak a couple of times on the topic, several Q and A sessions, and some sweet music.

It is great for staffs and teams and is a much more personal/hands on experience than the larger Catalyst event.

Btw, the Seattle event Mark Driscoll and Judah Smith will both join Andy for a panel discussion around the keys to momentum in their particular organizations.

Sometimes we need some daily affirmation to start the day.

I dare you to try this in your mirror. Who knows? You just might feel better.
