Long before face tattoos and tiger snoozes, ex-boxer Mike Tyson had a past. Convicted rapist, accused domestic abuser, and shamed boxing cheat, he’s been no stranger to controversy. His rise and fall played out during the 90′s in both the boxing ring and courtroom. And when he was disqualified for biting Holyfield’s ears during a 1997 heavyweight bout, Tyson looked destined for the scrapheap.
Lately, Mike Tyson has staged a different sort of comeback. He’s been candid about his addictions and financial mistakes, and has made several memorable movie cameos. Still, to many, he will always be the thug, the rapist, and the washed-up cheat.
But if you ask us, he is People of the Second Chance.
